To continue with Katie’s comment, and then have to cook it, shop for the ingredients, and pay for it. Every day! Plus, at least in my house, everyone’s first question when they see me is “what’s for dinner?”.
So many routine chores! Meal preparation certainly ranks up there. Like Katie, I find it very hard to plan an evening meal right after breakfast. Then the constant loads of clothes that need washing. The grocery list that is always being added to. House repairs, etc., etc., etc. It never struck me as a big deal when Mom and Dad were in charge.

Realizing that I didn’t know as much as I thougt I did. Older people had some good advice to pass on.
How busy everyone is. I didn’t expect to have to plan a month in advance sometimes just to get coffee with a friend.
